Hello everyone,
Has anyone ever hear of PayPal Advance Payments? There is a option to keep your customers
on your site during a checkout instead of redirecting them to PayPal site. Is anyone on here
using this? If yes is it easy to setup on CS-Cart?

PayPal Pro is the same thing.
But PayPal Pro is much more expensive ($30/month)
JesseLeeStringer actually PayPal Pro is different because it uses API calls and Paypal advanced Payments uses what seems to be iframe with API calls? Also as drahos.istvan stated major difference is $5 vs $30

First I've heard of it.
Generally speaking, having an iframe for payment info is frowned upon for website transactions - Antivirus/browser security issues.

I'd go with the 30.00 Paypal Pro option over the 5.00 Paypal plan. Once you start to generate sales you'll only pay 1.9-2.2% per transaction + .30 cents and you'll get 1% cash back with the Paypal debit card.

[/quote]I am waiting for Pay Pal Advanced also. I spoke to Pay Pal last week & they said cs-cart is running a bit slow to get this payment form implimented. $5 is cheaper than $30.

I don't know how “slow” Cs-cart is being…I was just looking into Advance and Paypal shows only 4 shopping carts that have this integrated. https://www.paypal-marketing.com/emarketing/partner/directory/directory.page#p=all,p510&s=all,s00
I just messaged CS Cart about this as this would be an ideal payment solution for my site as well. I'll report back with their response.

Also when we first signed up for this they neglected to tell us that they were going to keep a 30% rolling reserver for 90 days.
So every payment that came in they were going to keep 30% for 90 days then release it at that time.
But I am ALL IN when cs-cart implements this one.

I just received a quote from CS-Cart Development. Are you ready… They want $450 USD to provide this functionality. Seems kinda steep to me so I'll pass unless several of you want to split the cost with me.
