Currently my cs-cart is set to a certain page width, but I do not know how to change it. I would like to see how it looks if it takes up the entire screen, how do I make it do that?
I wasn't sure which CSS file I change to make it wider.

There is a KB article explaining in detail how to make your site pages fluid width.

So I deleted the 960.css file located here:
skins/basic/customer/css/960/960.css
And my cart didn't change. I also replaced it with the fluid 960.gs 960.css file but that did nothing.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Not clearing cache
I did that, I even tried opening it up in a different browser.
