Order #xxxx failed

Since changing to CS, I am getting many orders which come through as failed.

When I used x-cart, a failed order would appear in my Protx payment system.

But CS cart isnt even passing these failed orders to Protx.

So there must be a problem with the way CS cart is passing order information to Protx.

Can anyone help? I was so pleased to move to CS but this is costing me hundreds of £ per day.

ok I’ve been through the admin and on the failed orders it says:

Status: Basket format invalid (MALFORMED)

what is this?

Why does it work with some orders but not others?


OK, I’m starting to understand this a bit more now. It appears CS cart runs a bunch of rules before passing it on to the payment processor.

Is there a way to pass the processing error message onto the customer ala X-cart?

Instead of just saying:

Your order has been declined by the payment processor. Please review your information and contact store administration.

It should give them the actual error, e.g. :

Status: The start date given is in the future (MALFORMED)
