Order status and gift certificates usage

We are using cs-cart version 2.1.1 and wonder how I might change the behavior of the order status.



Currently when a customer places order and applies a gift certificate (which covers the cost of the entire order), The order status displays as “WAITING ON PAYMENT” in green.

If a customer places an order and applies a gift certificate (which DOES NOT cover the cost of the order), Then selects whichever payment method. (we have two payment methods #1 credit card offline processing and #2 phone ordering which the customer calls in credit card info). The order status displays as “OPEN” in orange.



Both scenarios should diplay order status as “OPEN”



How might I be able to corect this?
