Hello!
I have a page link defined to be opened in a new window. I expected that clicking this link will open a new tab, what unfortunately does not happen. The link is opened in the same browser tab. When inspecting the HTML code by Chrome DevTools I cannot find the expected target="_blank".

Does anyone know why?
Looking forward to your answers.

Make sure you have cleared your template cache and site cache either by url parameters ?cc&ctpl or by manually deleting the var/cache directory
Looks like menu does not take into account page (link) settings. Try to post it to the bug tracker

Thanks to ThemeHills for solving this problem. Smart add-on that works wonderfully for us:
https://themehills.com/product/menu-link-in-a-new-tab/
It is now possible to open a link in a new tab - even on the top level of a menu.
Best regards
