Notification Trouble

We've started to notice that some (but not all) of our notifications don't get sent. I've tested the mail routine with the prescribed CS-Cart testing and it completes successfully.

Purchase notifications go out, but notifications for new users/account changes do not.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Is there anyway to log what's happening to find out where the point of failure is?

You can use our "Email Logging" addon that will produce log entries for every email sent from the system. One valuable feature of this addon is to enable a BCC field where you (or any email address) can get BCC of each email sent.

However, we have found that most email does get sent. but most undelivered mail is a result of being flagged as spam by the recipient's site.
