Hi guys. I know this is an older topic, but I am having issues with the same thing - version 4
I have updated the account_update.pre.tpl with no success.
I tried both changes as detailed above and also made the changes to the basic template and a customised template that I have used “Buy Shop”.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Christine,
In order to do it, you should replace the following line of code:
with this one:
in the design/themes/[YOUR_THEME]/templates/addons/news_and_emails/hooks/profiles/account_update.pre.tpl file of your CS-Cart installation.
After that please clear the template cache of your store like this:
www.your_store.com/admin.php?ctpl

In my mailinglist CScart422 comes now “class=“checkbox cm-news-subscribe” /> Mailing list 1”
and the change above make no change?
Where to find "class=“checkbox cm-news-subscribe” ?

Found it, load it in DW and saved just again.
And gues, its gone now.
