i have had someone register on my store and not complete all the details as required with the red stars, how can they do this?

Thanks to some great detective work by forum member adodric, the source of this problem is probably identified. See bug post #1875:

I believe some other people have also complained that they were getting profiles with required information missing. This is the likely culprit.

This also happens in version 1.3.5 but presumably there will be no fix created for this version.
