new poll doesn't reset

I changed the poll. When I view the front page I see the message “you have already taken this poll”. How do I reset the poll so that returning customers get to see the new poll?

I have no idea if this is the right way, but I cloned my poll, disabled the old one, went to design/blocks/home page and clicked on the Polls blocks, then added my new poll and deleted my old one. It works even if maybe it’s the long way around.
