Need a small order fee

Does anybody know how to implement a small order fee. I have entered $50.00 as the minimum amount for an order to be placed. If a customer places an order for over $50.00, but under $100.00 then I would like to charge an additional $10.00.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would think you could add it into the shipping fee without much problem. If you want to show it as another line item, that would be tougher.

I really do need to show it as a separate line item. I tried adding a custom shipping method, however, i am not quite sure how to add the dependancy so that the charge is incurred if the cart is over $50 but under $100.

I have never done any custom shipping methods, but I would think it would still just show up as part of the shipping charge. We just use USPS and UPS and depending on order amount there is an extra fee added, that is included in shipping. Hopefully someone has a shipping addons out there that may help you.

Do you mind letting me know how you set that up? It wouldn't be the worst thing if I had to include the charge in the shipping.

First need to know what version you are using?

This is from verion 2.1.1

Go to shipping methods, hopefully you have allready setup a method and we just have to add the addtional charges.

then go to edit of the method you need to add the charges to. then click on shipping charges. now look at my example image to see what I did.

You can add the $10 fee you were talking about, and then setup a promotion that will kickin if the buy over $100 that they get a $10 discount.
