Gift Certificates - Create a print at home gift certificate that would like nice and allow customers to print and deliver a gift certificate. Amazon has this down pat.

The print at home seems simple as it prints on the page and you fold it and can then give it to the person.
Works really well. I have used it multiple times.

- Better administration of the ordering process:
- possibility to configure in back-end cart form:
- which fields are mandatory, parameter of the field compatibility check, e.g. max length of the phone number - different countries - different formats;
- make relations between shipment methods and payment method, e.g. if shipment method A is selected, than only payment methods D and/or X are available.
- possibility to change the priority of the checkout forms, e.g. first enter shipment method, than payment method, than personal data, etc - any combination is great!
- possibility to make an order without entering any personal data, like anonymous order, in case if customer wish to come personally to the office

- As mentioned before, possibility to add another existing but optional goods to be ordered together, e.g. similar to required goods, but optional with possibility to select several goods at the same time.
- Customizable XML feeds with goods. In Czech Republic there are many services, which compares prices, you send them link with an XML feed in specific format, they import it and than can compare.
- It is needed to be ably to create several XML feeds
- automated regeneration after any change of the product parameters
- possibility to define structure of the XML file and commands, example
My only suggestion for now is an admin section that allow for complete set-up of all email communications sent from the store, there are numerous communications sent but no way to set-up what owner want them to say or how owner want them formatted:
Admin should have an area for this with a list of variables that can be inserted into the email template. Email when order is placed, when shipped, new affiliate application, new member (not newsletter), etc. Any communication that is triggered by an event should have an admin email set-up.
An option to have shipments split into multiple boxes. Most carriers limit single packages to 70-75 lbs for standard shipments. If you get a large order it can easliy go above this limit. Ideally the split could be configured in several manners.
-Split based on predefined weight (split when order weight exceedd 50lbs)
-Split based on item (IE Item A ships separately from other items)
-Split based on Item count (only 10 items per shipment /box)

SOLVED, GOT I NOW 
I still need VERY much (and haven’t found it) the ability to send the customer a unique serial number upon payment (order Processed or Complete), picked from a list with pre-generated numbers.
This is needed for selling downloadable products.
My shop is pretty worthless without that option, except for selling CD’s
Am also wondering how ‘active’ the developers of CS-cart are/is? I see LOTS of very old threads in the forums, and a lot of support by users… are there any actual developers here too? Responsive ones I mean? That would also help

Customer email updates absolutely need to be updated. Total customization would be nice, but at the very least, ad interim, not sending a full invoice with every single email would be good. The invoice should be sent once. There should be a check box in the order statuses to choose to include it in a status or not.
Speaking of statuses, it should be selectable if a status contributes to points, total, or gross.
Lastly, a centralized customer statistics area for the admin. Info such as how much they’ve spent, how often, previous orders, and such in a single area.

I agree - there really should be a “new” request forum set up when a new version is released - seems a bit silly to have requests for functions that are already incorporated in the latest list - and very confusing for newcomers …
Exactly. I remember when I visited this forum for the first time and I saw this thread, I almost moved away from CS-cart. Until I noticed the post was from 2009.
But I’m sure many people don’t see this…
