Meet Cs-Cart And Multi-Vendor 4.8.1

Nice release, thanks!

Found a strange bug though. After upgrade all products that have more than 10 additional images (11 images and more) have wrong main image in admin panel while in the storefront everything is Ok. We changed them manually, it is not a problem, since there are not much of them.

Perhaps post this on the bugtracker?

This update has been available in my admin for several day. This morning I went to install it and now it's not showing. Upgrade center says "No upgrades currently available. Has the update it been withdrawn?

I did the "refresh packages list" thing and still the same result. No upgrade available.

Anyone else seeing this?

Is there somewhere the update file can be downloaded manually and applied?

Hi, please check upgrades once again. Now they should be available.

OK it's showing up again now.

I guess there was some kind of problem with the update and you had to pull it and fix it?

If you didn't download the upgrade when you first saw it, it could be that someone else downloaded it in the meantime. That's what we mean by "providing upgrades in batches": we initially offer a certain amount of upgrades on the "first-come, first-served" basis (or in this case, "first-downloaded, first-upgraded"). Soon afterwards we make the upgrades available to all people (that's what has been done today).

Thank you for this release, however, the cookie consent is not exactly what the GDPR requires, I mean there should be an option where the visitor can deny the cookies, but still they can use the website. Like this example: https://cookieconsent.insites.com/app/themes/insites-cookie-consent/examples/example-4-opt-out.html

At the moment, CS-cart offers only two options: take it or leave.

There should be a 3rd option: Deny Cookies.

Or maybe a 4th... set cookie preferences.

there should be such option, accept or deny, set preferences , change preferences

Can a Store have both Stripe Connect and PayPal for Marketplaces active at the same time?

What if a customer checks out items from two vendors one with Stripe Connect and other with PayPal Marketplaces? Will the transaction go thro?

Loving the responsive admin. So much better for our portrait monitors.

Anyone else have messed up rendering for Categories and Features on the Products>Edit selected page..?

Re: GDPR

1. It looks like this applies to all countries when active, is that right ?

2. When set to Explicit, the very scary notice appears to the customer as if they have been taken to another website. This is going to discourage customers.

3. The pop-up of Implicit mode is blocked by browsers set to "block popup window"

That won't be a problem. Although customers can choose a shipping method for each vendor, they choose a payment method for the entire order (here's why).

So, let's assume you have both Stripe Connect and PayPal for Marketplaces set up. A customer proceeds to checkout and has products from 2 vendors. If each of those 2 vendors connected their Stripe account to the marketplace, the customer will see Stripe Connect as an available payment method at checkout. The same goes for PayPal for Marketplaces (only now vendors must connect their PayPal Business accounts).

If both vendors have connected both Stripe and PayPal accounts, then the customer will choose either PayPal, or Stripe, and that payment method will be used for both vendors in the order.

ok, and if a seller to stripe to the other seller paypal, how will the customer pay?

Glad to hear that the responsive admin panel suits you. If you encounter a problem with the current version of CS-Cart, please see if it occurs at http://demo.cs-cart.com (it's the best way to see if the problem is common or specific to your store) ans post it on the bug tracker.

As for the GDRP add-on:

1. Yes, the add-on applies to all countries. You never know when some other country introduces something like GDPR, and that way you can always set different texts for different languages.

2. Yes, we understand how scary it is. However, that's also the surest way to block any and all cookies (including those that may be introduced by third-party add-ons) until a customer gives consent. The TPL file (design/themes/responsive/templates/addons/gdpr/componentes/cookie_consent.tpl) can be modified manually to make the notice look the way you want. Alternatively, there is a third-party solution, but you'd have to contact the developer to find out how it works.

3. Please report it to the bug tracker so that our specialists could look into it.

Is there a new version of the store import tool available? We are stuck on the last version of the store supported by it.

I am afraid the Store import add-on is not available for versions higher then 4.7.2 yet. You can upgrade the installation via Upgrade center.

When will you update the Store Import Tool?? It is now several version behind.

Jack

Why wont you update store in /subcategory ?

Hi,

Just upgraded from 4.7.1.SP3 to 4.8.1 and all went well, no issues.

The new admin panel is ok however the product "SAVE AND CLOSE" button is missing.

This was very handy as it allowed the administrator to make changes to a product and quickly save and close it and view the search results they were working with.

I realise you can click save and then click on the BACK HISTORY button to go back to "Search Results" but this is an additional step that adds up if your editing 100+ products per day etc... wouldnt hurt to have it back I think.

Another issue with new responsive admin console.

Cannot right click on product links (to for example open link in new tab)

Using latest Chrome + Windows 10 1803.

It s ok, I forgot to check for custom css, now removed and Edit selected is ok,

1. Actually, I guess to implement by country will be a considerable amount of programming, as the visitors IPA must be referenced to Country IP addresses. But many countries do not need GDRP.

2. My issue with this is that the page does not resemble anything that the customer will be expecting, Visitors may feel that they have been re-directed to another website and just close the page. This is a source of Buyer Objection, and may cause lost sales.

Better to have a block pushed to the front with greyed out background, similar to the way a products Quick View is displayed. The visitor would then see that they are still on the website that they thought they were visiting.

3. i cant repeat this issue today... go figure...
