Meet Cs-Cart And Multi-Vendor 4.7.4 With Gdpr Support

I am a bit confused about the cookies. Now required by law to offer the user that he can disagree with cookies use, and therefore we need to block the cookies from the store... is this addon capable to do this?

current addon is not capable of nothing, only a big issue with google indexing a page because its attached to header (using a built-in notification system)....

complete mess

When are you going to update the store Import Tool? We are developing a new site on a dev server and will need to reimport data once we go live. Not having an updated tool is making a ton of work for everyone.

cs-cart team ???????????

are you coming with a solutions / fix ?

may 15....

We have reviewed the requests we received so far, and there will be some improvements to the default GDPR add-on that comes with CS-Cart. Here is what we are planning to do:

1. The cookie setting will be moved to the GDPR add-on and will have 3 variants:

- No consent for cookies required.

- Implicit consent required (the current behavior).

- Explicit consent required - the behavior will be similar to https://addons.prestashop.com/demo/FO13605.html (a popup on first visit), but without differentiating cookies into groups. If a visitor doesn’t agree to cookies being used, he or she will be redirected to Google, and no cookies from the store will be left on the machine.

2. The support of multiple storefronts will be added.

3. The ability for customers to request their personal data or to be forgotten will be added to their profile settings. When they use that button, an automated message will be sent to the email address specified in the GDPR add-on settings. That way it’s easier for customers to withdraw consent.

Please note that these improvements will most likely be a part of CS-Cart 4.8.1, and the current plan is to release it in the second half of June.

Unfortunately, I don't have any exact dates. Currently we're focusing our efforts on releasing CS-Cart 4.8.1.

when will CS-Cart 4.8.1 be released?

hi, about accounting

Add ability for marketplace admin to change a accounting status from Completed or Declined to Pending

when admin made changes by mistake

The problem with focusing your efforts on new releases and NOT supporting updating is that we can't use them! The tool needs to part of each release.

Why forms are not integrated in GDPR Addon?

Hope that will be released when you say.

Since the update. I have noticed that my site is no longer sending out emails for orders or contact us. Anyone else having this issue?

***. Update***

I just went and changed email setting to use SMTP then saved changes. Then went to the site to try and send a message. Then changed it back to via php Mail function then it started working. Not sure what it was.

For me stopped sending email when new vendor applies.

Just to clarify, it appears that the only two ways to get the official GDPR addon is to:-

- Upgrade to the latest version, or

- Pay CS-Cart themselves to adapt and install it for us?

There doesn't appear to be any separate/free download. My boss seemed to think there was, but I think he misinterpreted what was said.

(I know there's a also third party "improved" GDPR addon).

Thanks,

- Smich

I'm sorry to hear that the current approach causes issues. Previously Store Import was a part of each CS-Cart release. We moved it to the Marketplace as a separate free tool for a few reasons:

1. Having it updated separately allows us to fix any issues found in that add-on without having to wait for a new CS-Cart release.

2. Removing Store Import from the distribution allows us to release new versions quicker. That means bugfixes and new features are delivered faster.

We do have plans to make it compatible with newer versions, but unfortunately there's no specific date yet.

There're currently several ways to get the GDPR add-on:

1. Upgrade to version 4.7.4. That's the best way, because you'll get other improvements too, including our improvements to the GDPR add-on (assuming that you upgrade to 4.8.1 after its release).

2. Contact our technical support via Help Desk. The add-on isn't available as a separate download, because earlier versions need modifications for the add-on to be installed. So, even if you have the files of the add-on (you're welcome to contact our support specialists regarding that too, by the way), you'll need to make some changes to your pre-4.7.4 installation for it to work. Our technical support does it as part of the add-on's paid installation service.

3. Buying a third-party add-on. As far as I know, it was adapted for 4.x.x versions too.

I hope this helps.

Why forms are not integrated in GDPR Addon?

Not all forms have to contain personal data, and the data sent via each form may be processed according to different rules. Besides, the Form Builder itself allows you to make a checkbox that a customer must tick before submitting the form. So, an administrator can decide whether to request consent for data processing or not on a case-by-case (or rather, form-by-form) basis.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback. I've listed it as a requested feature, so that it may be implemented in one of the future versions of Multi-Vendor.

Thanks for the response anyway!

Except when you aren't updating it with each release. No bug fixes for it, and we can't install updates to the store to add fixs and features properly without it. Let alone develop new stores.

Having it in the MarketPlace isn't the issue. Not making it compatible with the current version, (in fact it is at least 2 versions old) IS the issue. Stop chasing features and start properly supporting the releases that you put out for your installed base. We are paying plenty for licenses that need to be properly supported.

This is a good news ;)

Please don#t use notification system for displaying the cookie messages, independent pop-up or something else...

Best wishes,
