[color=#555555]Maybe someone can help us on this one. We want to have the affiliate program to have commissions paid from existing customers and order on an on-going basis.[/color]
[color=#555555]We have an affiliate which is a school. The parents of the school have signed up as a customer through the School’s affiliate link. The School gets a payout for the first order but we want all on-going orders to be paid out to the customer as well instead of stopping after the first order.[/color]
[color=#555555]There are a number of schools so there is more than one we need this working for.[/color]
[color=#555555]Any ideas on how can we have all on-going orders paid to the original affiliate on a long term basis or maybe I am misunderstanding how the affiliate system works?[/color]
The Affiliate add-on in CS-Cart has always been lacking. It won’t do what you want it to do (recurring commission).
Instead of improving the add-on, CS-Cart has stopped including the Affiliate add-on in v4, so any solution is going to have to be created by a 3rd party.
With that in mind, you should look at some of the Affiliate Tracking software that is out there for ANY website to use. It has been a big business for a long time and the companies serious about the industry have included all kinds of great stuff.
