Local install: can't get to installation wizard (MS Windows)

Hello, a non-tech newbie here trying to install the CS-Cart Professional downloadable trial version. My apologies if there is already a thread about this, but I've looked and wasn't able to find anything.

I'm trying to install CS-Cart locally. I tried following the directions in the CS-Cart Installation Guide for installation on a local computer, and here's what I was able to do thus far:

  1. Installed XAMPP (1.7.3) successfully onto my computer (I think). I was able to open localhost/xampp on a browser, and Apache, MySql, FileZilla, etc. seem to run without problems according to the XAMPP control panel.

  2. Downloaded CS-Cart Professional downloadable trial version (cscart_v3.0.6-professional.tgz), extracted that and the contents of the subsequent extraction of the .tar file into a folder named “cscart” under c:\xampp\htdocs\cscart.

  3. Created a MySQL database for CS-Cart at http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ and called it “cart”.

Here's where I get stuck. The next step calls for opening http://localhost/CS-Cart/install in a browser, however, I get the error message: Object not found! Error 404

Thus, no luck getting to the installation wizard.

I've tried entering various combinations in the address bar but no luck. I'm really at my wits' end. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    OS: Windows 7 SP1

if you unzipped into a folder called “cart”

then your install url would be http:\localhost\cscart\install, not \cs-cart\install (no dash)

Thank you for the response, TonyK.

I did try http://localhost/cscart/install (without the hyphen), as well as various other combinations, but to no avail.

Open up the folders under htdocs and screenshot it and post it here.

Thank you once again TonyK for the response!

Here is the screenshot of the contents of the htdocs folder:

And here's a screenshot of the contents of the cscart folder in case you need it:

Thank you so much for your time! I really appreciate it.
