(If I select textlinks - then I seem to be either able to display a list of hyperlinks - which cuts off at 10 of them)
But what I am really trying to do is recreate the category page on my home page but without any modding - which in the long run seems the more sensible option.
Using multicolumns I get the images for the categories but not the text that goes with them.
Am I missing a trick.

The problem you have with using listmania is your limited to displaying only 10 items (or how many you select in admin), this can be increase but could break your design when using listmania in another part of your site.

This is such a small mod that it shouldn’t break future upgrades.
I shall have a further look at your other post.
But as an anyway question…
Where would I change the 10 to a higher number
I still want to know whether I can get the text to display with the category image in listmania.

If your looking for a setting, then i don’t think you can. I’m sure you could hack the template to show this if you had to, but this negates the purpose of using listmania in the first place.
