The alt-team did a great job bringing one of our “trouble child” sites up to speed with CS.
Yes, we were finally able to get our last dinosaur CS 1.3.5 sp4 site brought in to the present and is now launched with CS 2.1.4. Hopefully we don’t regret it, but we’ve finally got it done. After several early attempts to upgrade it as we did other sites, we finally gave up the ghost. We even had some on the forum give it a shot and we were still stuck. The biggest problem was our images made the database way too large. So we then hired the alt-team and they got the old database updated to the new database, installed CS on our server and got us brought in to the present.
Who knows when I’ll get “stuck” and decide not to upgrade again for a little while. We stuck with 1.3.5 sp4 for quite some time. In the past I would wait to upgrade basing it on how much people of the forum would cry and moan. That was probably a mistake to some extent.
So anyway, many thanks to the alt-team.com who did a great job fixing and bringing our site up to the current version.
