Im currently hosted with Martfox, who have been having issues all day. My site has been unavailable as well as my email as the ‘server is under attack’. I dont really understand what this means, but im wondering what i should be doing to make sure my site is safe? Meaning i dont want to lose all my data… or is that not likely to happen?
How many of you access your admin directly through the internet, and how many have it installed on your computer? Which is better? Thanks

Typically means that either one person (Hacking Attempt) or many (DDOS) are attempting to either penetrate the server or put it offline for whichever reason they want.
You should rename admin.php to something more personal as it limits the ability of the said perpetrators to access the single point of entry via that page.
Can’t say specifically what is causing it, but typically a good server technician will be able to fix the issue quite quickly.
Ah thanks for that. So theres not really much in particular i should be doing to keep my stuff safe. I did rename admin.php when i first installed cs cart, so thats good.
The server was under attack which is causing a huge amount of packetloss.

Your competition have bought a service that targets websites and makes them unavailable. The price of the service is less expensive than the loss though no sale at the attacking end.
Whom did you pÃss off?

The Putin???
Nah, if it were Putin then Martfox datacenter would be a large crater full of nuclear fallout by now.
LOL…

Bumping as v2.1 visual editor via insert image when you browse for files on server creates syn flood and usualy you get automatically blocked. If you’r image dir has a lot of files - then each time you go insert/edit image from particular folder with a lot of files - the php cs-cart script will create syn flood.
