I’m interested in making the checkout for guests only and disabling the registration and ‘my account’ sections.



I want to transform the checkout into a quote request. When the customer adds something to their cart, they are taken to the one page checkout. The checkout should be two steps, 1. Contact Info, 2. Shipping Info.



I"m not sure how to to go about this. Any insight is appreciated.

You will have to rewrite the skins//customer/views/checkout/components/checkout_steps.tpl file.



It is nested pretty deeply so it is not a simple job.
