Install Cs-cart on the same level as WordPress blog?

I have a self hosted wordpress site running on a domain. I wonder can I install Cs-cart on the same level but not making it live while I am adding the Cs-cart site with products? Maybe change the Cs-cart index.php file to index-cs.php, will this work and is there such a file in Cs-cart?

One more question, is there a way to configure the Review feature to have 2 more fields? 1. Email, 2. Website.

I find these are important details which enable me to contact my potential customers, without these how can we get back to them if they were to ask a question?

Thanks.

Then you may need my Ask a Question mod.

Review is not the place for customers to ask questions, you can have a mod called Q&A for them to ask common questions.

Would like to know more about your Ask a question mod… Thanks.

Any update on this? “Ask a question” mod?

Alan,

in either config.local.php or config.php you’ll find “index.php” change this to “store.php” or “shop.php” (whatever you prefer)

If you use the seo addon, make sure the .htaccess file content is changed from “index.php” to “store.php / shop.php” (whatever you prefer)

This will allow wordpress to run alongside cs-cart however I’m unsure how you can use SEO on both the same domain due to htaccess conflicts.

JesseLeeStringer,

OK, thank you. Due to the conflicting .htaccess and etc, I think I will move the Wordpress blog to a subfolder (let’s say /blog).

Will see how it goes.
