Inserting Quicktime movie ? Please Help ....

Hi,



I would like to insert a Quicktime movie on my front page, I have tried everything but cannot get it to work :confused:



Please help !! I am a code novice by the way so step by step would be great.

Just google jquery quicktime plugin. Hereā€™s one as an example:

You can also add a multipurpose plugin like Shadowbox (google it) which will let you display pretty much anything in a lightbox style popup.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I have already tried to install the jquery quicktime plugin but it did not work ā€¦ all I got was the quicktime logo with a question mark through it. No matter what I try I cant get it to work :confused:

An another thing I noticed on your site. In my opinion, I wouldnā€™t use the ā€œloadingā€ favicon on your site. People can think, your site is still loadingā€¦

Thatā€™s interesting. Itā€™s hard to help with little information. Iā€™d say from a troubleshooting perspective Iā€™d try these two things:


  1. Can you view embedded quicktime videos on other sites or do you get the Quicktime logo?
  2. Can you embed a test video of another format?



    Itā€™s possible you need to dload something from apple on your machineā€¦

From Design ā†’ Blocks, click on ā€˜Home Pageā€™. Add a new ā€œhtml blockā€ with the following code below, then position the block on the page where you want.






Copy your your .mov file(s) into the appropriate directory specified in the url above.
