Hmm, did you get this in your mail? I didn't receive anything like this… so am curious if the changes we made to the code to get it to work in the first place already took care of this.

I received the email in the last few days. Have not been able to get Amazon to work in over a year. Maybe if CS-CART needs to change their mod, I'll try again.

Bob

I have used it for awhile without problem, just not sure if it stays that way with some possible code changes at amazon.

I could never get the shipping in Amazon payments to be the same as cs-cart. Also, when completing the payment in amazon the person is directed to the checkout.checkout page in cs-cart, says; order processing. The order goes through, but not right. Had it looked at from Last November through April and then stopped using it. Thought upgrading to 2.2.4 would fix it, but did not.

Bob

I received the same Amazon e-mail a few days ago:

I really do want to get Amazon payments going but many months ago I remember trying it out and there was problems… Oh that’s right, the code was not working properly. I think it was I had 10 different shipping options available but only 9 of them were showing on the Amazon payment popup. The missing shipping option was a very basic option which should have been shown.

After spending a ton a support credits here, they just said it is not CS-Cart problem but a 3rd party problem with the Amazon payments code…which CS-Cart releases with their software and their name is in the Amazon payments code.

So I just gave up with Amazon payments and using with CS-Cart.

Also I remember in another message in the forum I believe it was Flow (sorry if this is wrong and not you Flow) that had the Alt-Team (?) build a specific order landing page for the Amazon Payments as there was something with a delay of Amazon reporting back to the Cs-Cart… Which I was interested in getting them to build the same feature for me but then I found that problem and just gave up on the Amazon payments dream.

Actually just for the heck of it I just enabled my Amazon payments and tested (both in Live and Test modes) and now after the Amazon popup appears and I log in, it only shows this:

Important Message

We're sorry, but there's a problem with this order. Please contact the merchant directly for assistance in completing this order.

Also got this message now… will investigate and keep you posted.

Any updates on this? I just recieved an order through Amazon checkout today, but for some reason the order was not created in the CS-cart admin. I can see it in our Amazon seller account though and in the past have not had any problems. I was wondering if this could be because of the update?

Just checking to see if anyone had to update the Amazon module and what had to be done. I know the call back does not work any more.

This is the message I get in the cart: ( Don't know who wrote this error message)

“Error

No response from Amazon Checkout has been received yet, please hold on. Although the order might not be created in the store as long last, it is highly probable that it has been successfully created and processed by Amazon Checkout. Please contact the store staff and tell them the order ID as provided by Amazon”

Bob

Amazon checkout is still working at this time.

It is actually still working here too. The order that wasn't created in my cs cart admin showed up about an hour later, even though the payment/order was cleared and viewable in amazon seller services.

I had a developer look at this and:

Amazon changed the API and SOAP method is not supported anymore.

I mailed cs-cart:

Dear…

Are you planning to fix this for the next version or are you planning to release an update anyime soon? Amazon is mailing us we should change ASAP because of security reasons and they will stop supporting the old method very soon.

To be honest, the old plugin wasn't working for Europe anyway (we had it changed by a developer) and was also giving many American's problems (just look at the forum)… so this might be a good moment to fix it.

Please let me know what your plans are so we can take proper action.

Flow,

Thanks for submitting this request to CS-Cart… Maybe if they look at the their mod and fix it for this problem, my problems would be fixed. I would like them to fix it for the current a previous versions. Not everyone who uses Amazon payments will be able to upgrade to the latest version. This is one case where pre -3.04 versions need to be supported.

Bob

Yep, they should definitely give this a lot of attention. There was no option for Euro either and it wasn’t working at all in Europe. We had it totally rewritten, but now Amazon is changing everything again so we are back to 0… :)

Has anyone got this working in the UK?
