I think the stats program can kill your server since I noticed that mysql was using 200% of the cpu and after uninstalling this add on things have gone back to normal but there is no way I can say for sure.
Any one got a solid idea?
Thanks
Search the forum for ‘statistics’. You will find many comments relating to performance when the statistics add-on is enabled.

As Bob mentions, I have also read alot of posts where people claim they must uninstall stats to get good speed with CS-Cart.
We consistently have page loads <1 sec on our site and this is with Stats Installed and Enabled. I am sure we could speed it up some more by uninstalling the stats module, however, I like stats!
Our site is running on a VPS along with MySql DB on a seperate VPS server.
Just for the fun of it, I think I will uninstall stats from our site and see if I can make it even faster…
I uninstalled mine and didn’t notice any difference in speed
Hi,
Wondering if its feasible/practical or possible to have a separate database for the statistics add on and keep it separate from the main database.

Interestingly enough, nor can I see any noticeable difference in speed with stats uninstalled!
Looks as if I will re-enable stats this afternoon.

Hello Bob,
Most anything is possible, however, certainly would not be feasible nor should it be necessary unless your site is perhaps Amazon.com!
Any good solution for this problem ? The Mysql cpu load is very huge, it makes all site very slow. Even use a high performance dedicated server, still can not resolve this problem. Looking forward for more suggestions, thanks.

You can try disabling & then uninstalling the stats addon. Then clean/remove the existing stats from your DB. This can reduce the size of your DB by 30% or more.
This can all be done through your admin panel in 2.0.xxx
This helps some of us, others it does not, most likely depends upon the amount of traffic your site receives.
Also clear your cache, & see how it performs for you.

Thanks, but we’ve never enabled this addon, bcoz we know it’s not so good for site performance.
Maybe just bcoz we have more than 2000 categories ? Any suggestions for this ?
Is milonic javascript menu or dhtml menu can resolve this problem ? At least to improve a little of the loading speed ? As long as it can, I like to give a try.

Yeah, that just might have an effect…
