I've been trying to find a way to search by sku number (on the frontend), and the only posts that I find on this have to deal with quick search. I am using the latest version, so quick search is no longer an option.
If I enable the instant search widget, I can type a sku number and it will bring up the suggestions of the product, but if I actually hit the search buttons, no results are found.
The first image I am attaching is what happens when i type in the sku number without hitting enter.
The second is what happens when I hit enter
