How to Search by Manufacture On Main Page ?
I would like to be able to search by manufacture from the main
search box on the main page …
how can this be done …
I’d like to be able to do this too, if you find out please post!

You can go here to see how to add a manufacturer:

Once the manufacturers are loaded on the site you would then create a new block on your home page with settings from here:

The wrapper and appearance type might be different for you, but you should get the idea.
Then you can go here to change the list to a drop down if you would like:

I know that I was part of the three posts above, but it only took a moment to use the search feature that is in the upper right hand corner of this site.

sorry but the question was not how to add manufactures …
How to make it so that if a customer types
“dewalt” in the search box on the main page
it will also search the manufactures feature fields for the word “dewalt”
I apologize for the mistake.
I guess I don’t really follow what you mean. Currently in my search if I put in a manufacturer name all the products that are made by that manufacturer come up.
Could you explain a little better and maybe I can help?

I added a global product feature called
manufactures … its a text box field … not a dropdown …
i want to be able to search for products that have matching
manufactures from my main homepage …
so if someone types the name of the manufacture and clicks search
it will display all products with matching feature
