How To Create Payment Method With "hidden" Status ?

I would like to create a payment method and have it's status “Hidden”.

I want to be able to use this payment method as administrator only as I edit an order.

Make admin part of some usergroup, make payment method available only to this usergroup

I use several “Disabled” Payment Methods as administrator when I create or edit orders.

Just create the Payment Method you need and set its status to Disabled. It's still listed in the payment options when you are logged in as admin. I have payment methods named “Cash”, “PayPal Invoice”, etc - none of which are available to customers on checkout.
