Hi Everybody!
I am currently using Google Checkout and my own merchant account on my site and I wanted to seperate the two checkout buttons because customers tend to get confused.
I wanted to and an “OR” or “- OR -” in between the buttons so customer do not get confused.
I also wanted to replace the checkout button on the Cart Content page, but whenever I change it the checkout button on the “Pop up” box on the product page when you add a product to the cart also changes.
I just want to change the checkout button on the Cart Content page.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me out because I think this is the reason why my sales have dropped for the past two weeks.
Thanks for all your help!

Hello, heyheyhey
Some code modifications are required to implement this feature. We would be happy to assist you in this matter within our technical support service. Please contact us via Customer Help Desk if you have support credits or an active support period.
Thank you.
Man, you guys are sure quick on wanting people to pay for support instead of tossing a guy a bone.
To add the OR between the payment methods you need to:
In skins/your-skin/customer/views/checkout/cart_content.tpl
Change:
```php
{include file=“buttons/continue_shopping.tpl” but_href=$continue_url|default:$index_script}
{if $payment_methods}
{assign var=“m_name” value=“checkout”}
{assign var=“link_href” value=“checkout.checkout”}
{include file=“buttons/checkout.tpl” but_href=$link_href}
{/if}
{if $checkout_add_buttons}
{foreach from=$checkout_add_buttons item=“checkout_add_button”}
{$checkout_add_button}
{/foreach}
{/if}
To:
```php
{include file="buttons/continue_shopping.tpl" but_href=$continue_url|default:$index_script}
{if $checkout_add_buttons}
{foreach from=$checkout_add_buttons item="checkout_add_button"}
{/foreach}
{/if}
{if $payment_methods}
{assign var="m_name" value="checkout"}
{assign var="link_href" value="checkout.checkout"}
{include file="buttons/checkout.tpl" but_href=$link_href}
{/if}
You could also play around with the styles to make it just the way you want it, but that should get you going.
Thanks,
Brandon

Hello, Brandon
The forum is used for the communication between our clients. We just help if some questions are base and not answered. We do not post the modifications on the forum. In order to get the modifications, our client needs to post the message in the Customer Help Desk and order our support service.
Thank you.
@ CS-Cart
Please understand that this now constant spamming of your paid support services is annoying those of us who do freely offer help to your clients here.
This is especially annoying to those of us who ‘also’ offer commercial modifications for more advanced needs. Should we also be spamming our commercial services in many threads like you are now doing? I will sometimes private message a client if I know I can help with a paid modification they need but, have never tried to promote those services like you are now doing on the forum…
Future of 3rd party development:
You are now attempting to obtain all commercial modification work for yourselves and this will prevent the interest of additional 3rd party involvement. Why should we have to compete with you with non-standard modifications?
In my opinion, your developers should be concentrating on improving the product itself and attempt to promote (more) 3rd party developer interest because that will improve the popularity of CS-Cart.
[/end opinion]
I totally agree with Scott. He just said what I meant in a lot more words.
You guys are no constantly on here trying to drum up business and it is super annoying. Actually, it kind of pisses me off every time I read your posts about contacting support.
This forum has always been about people freely helping other people out. This is actually one of the best forums I’ve been involved in and there are a lot of us on here that regularly offer free help.
I know that there have been posts on here wishing that CS-Cart would take a more active role in the forums, but if you guys are just going to spam the forums trying to get more business, than I say, “No thank you”. I’d rather not have you guys on here than have to scroll through your spam.
Orangegirl does a great job on here. Isn’t she part of your support team? Maybe you can take a few pointers from her?
I know that this is CS-Cart’s forum, but it’s also our forum. This is our community and one that I’ve been involved with for almost 5 years. And it’s also a community that you guys have had little involvement in for the first 4 years of me being here.
Thanks,
Brandon

Hello, S-Combs!
Thank you for letting us know your opinion.
We agree with you that our Community Forums is the place where CS-Cart owners can communicate, ask for help or share some information.
Please note that we offer our support service here in two cases:
- if a problem requires investigation on a server and we need access to it. I am not sure that CS-Cart forum users will easily give access to another forum member, but it is common practice for our support service.
- some code modifications need to be done, but no one has offered a solution yet.
And we do not force CS-Cart owners to contact us, we just offer a possible way.
Before we say that our technical support can help (the CS-Cart support team is not a 3rd-party service), we note that code modifications are required. Forum members can choose any way - to change the code by
themselves, contact the native support service (unfortunately, it is not evident to all CS-Cart owners that they have free support service and we invoke to use it) or hire a 3rd-party developer.
We do not consider our messages as advertising. The rules have not been changed, we are still against advertising of 3rd-party services on the forums which are not destined for this.
By the way, we understand your points and will consider offering the support service on the forums.
Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Brandon!
Please refer to my previous post in this thread. The main purpose of our forum work is to help our clients, not to get more business. We believe, it is better than unanswered questions. Unfortunately, there are too many unanswered questions on the Forums.
“CS-Cart Support team” is a common account for our support staff, Orangegirl is a part of our team.
Thank you once again for your opinion, we will take it into account.
@ Customer Support:
Then why don't you just answer the original question!!??
You've provided zero input and help with the original question at all!
Why do you persist in “dodging the support question”, posting your standard gibberish, and going OFF TOPIC!
