Just wanting to know where everyone else is visitor wise.
I’ve had traffic go up 50% since last month… and I’ve still got three days to go. Having opened in April 07 that is.
No Advertising at all, using only the search engines

We do use Google AdWords, which used to be about our only source of traffic, other than organic searches for our company name (typically from someone seeing an eBay listing). After getting the SEO module working at end of April, and adding a bolus of new items to the cart, and continuously tweaking titles and keywords, etc…, our organic search engine referrals are now our biggest traffic source, growing every month. We do HTML newsletter email blasts which definitely help (not through built-in newsletter module), and we also started listing all our items on several of the comparison shopping engines, which has been going quite well.
Before March of this year, our entire website was just your typical non-cart site with fairly few pages, not very well optimized, and no tracking… Sort of a “We sell this stuff, call us if you want some!” kinda site. Amazing what you can do with time, effort, and some decent software.

Just using search engines. No paid advertisement. Constantly tweaking meta keywords and meta descriptions. I have had very little luck making more than what the advertising cost using Yahoo Store, Google adwords and Bizrate. I did make the most from Bizrate.

Very nice numbers guys. Would you mind telling me how to publish a website to search engines? I was thinking about using google adwords but after reading jimsoper’s post I’m having second thoughts.

unique clicks to conversion is really important

they say the average click to sale rate is
120 clicks = 1 sale
is that your average or are you above it
