How many products can I safely import via the Admin at one time?

Personally I just imported 3000 product from one CSV today. but then again I’ve got ace hosting :wink:

Jesse is correct about this being very dependant on server limits. If you are with a budget host you might get much better results uploading your CSV via FTP then importing directly from the server.

I guess I should be happy that I can get 10,000 without a problem. I do aways FTP the CSV to the server first. Not that it fails without, it just takes longer.

On my own server I’m importing over 20.000 product at once, but on my customer hosting (hosting at home.pl - I don’t recommend it for cs-scart sites due very restricted server limits - also problem is with making database backups) I can import only 2000-2500 product at once (one file), so I must split import package to 10 files (ca. 2000 product for each file).

I imported 17.000 products by splitting the csv file in 2 pieces to a shared host.
