I’ve been seeing a massive increase in bogus login attempts from Russia, China, India… that side of the planet. Since we have very few customers in those countries, and most of the time there’s no account registered under their ‘name’ - I’m assuming they haven’t got good intentions?
Is there a quick and simple way to block them? Or failing that, a long and complicated way.
Best way is to do it through .htaccess, this is most sure way.
Google more info like:

But inside admin if you dont want to do it .htaccess is administration>store access> add new ips.
JOhn
htaccess is a much faster solution, dramatically less DB access, better security,
