How Are New Items Determined?

How does the New Items block determine what is new or not? I’m assuming it is looking at either the Created Date or Avail Since product fields? If so, how many days back will it pull from and is there a setting to control that and if not, where’s the code that does?



Is there a limit to how many New Products will be displayed, such as in the right column, and if so, what is it and how can it be modified?

Which settings are you referring to or have you even looked?

Yes, as The Tool said, all the settings are there. The settings to determine how many, how far back in time, etc. And it is determined by the date created, not the date available.



I did a quick search to find a similar thread on new products. This thread talks about a page for it but the same applies to a block for it.
