I switched from Simple Host…used it for a few years but overall poor customer service…
We went with a Hostmonster standard account with a dedicated IP
We don’t have that many items in our store and our traffic is regretably not that good with our current site, so I cannot comment on how this shared server arrangement will work for us in the long run or how appropriate this solution is for larger stores.
That said, I can comment on what I feel is an incredible value for a new or smaller store.
Their Apache enviroment has all the bells and whistles. PHP and MySQL are the latest versions.
I was able to get setup, our SSL cert installed, our existing store transferred over, and CS Cart installed with very little effort.
Their service and responsiveness has been impecible.
Come back in 3 months and say that… and I’ll eat my words for 3 months
