Hosting Config for mulitstore (SSL issues)

Im hoping someone can help here.



I have a client who wants to run CS-Cart to manage multiple storefronts.



I was advised (incorrectly as it would seem) that CS-cart would allow us to have multiple store fronts however we could use a common domain for the checkout (the checkout domain would have the SSL installed)



Example:



storea.com

storeb.com



Securestorecheckout.com → With SSL installed.



However ive been advised this cant work - And that each store we create must use its own domain for the secure checkout - But this causes a problem because cPanel does not support more than one SSL certificate per account (or IP) and as far as im aware Plesk does not either.



So this leaves us with only one option - A custom server config…



Does anyone else do multistore and can you advise how you solved this important issue.

Get a multiple domain SSL

As my post says, multiple domain SSL is NOT supported in cPanel or Plesk. therefore the setup instructions provided in the KB are useless.

I have it working fine in Plesk. I am working on my third store in Ultimate as we speak.



You need a vhost.conf and a vhost_SSL.conf

Can you tell me if your using individual SSL's or a UCC SSL?
