Hi there.
Just wondering if anyone is currently running with MySQL 5.5 yet with your CS-Cart 2.2+ store? If so, any problems or was it smooth going from 5.1 to 5.5?
I'm currently using MySQL 5.1.63-cll and just wondering if I should upgrade to the latest 5.5 version. Thanks!
What's your motive to upgrade? Have you considered “if it ain't broke, don't fix it”? Is there something in 5.5 that you think is going to benefit you? If so, please share.
The motivation is that most of the time with stable upgrade/releases there are usually security fixes and performance improvements that are beneficial.

Exactly this is what I have been thinking.
Meanwhile I am also wondering who has done the upgrade - especially for version 3.1
Actually now thinking about it, shouldn't the CS-Cart programmers/team actually do this research/install the newest and biggest MySQL release and test?
Considering how CS-Cart heavily depends upon MySQL it just makes sense doesn't it?

They do & will, you just have to give them a reasonable amount of time, it is a nasty never ending cycle of continual change!
