Haiti Relief Efforts

As we know, the CS-Cart community spans over many regions of globe and in response to the massive, 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the Caribbean nation Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, January 12th, I would like to inform that PremierBooks.com has committed to contribute 100% of profits of all books sales to assist in this urgent humanitarian need.

Our sales will help distribute life-saving relief supplies – including food, clean water, blankets, and tents — to children and families devastated by the earthquake and aftershocks in Haiti.

We have also setup a relief page with MercyCorps to accept contributions from those who wish to donate for the relief efforts. please Visit http://www.mercycorps.org/fundraising/premierbooks

As we all know, disaster can strike anywhere at any given time and it is only then when we realize how fragile we really are.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the people Haiti in this desperate time of need and as CEO and Founder of Premierbooks.com I kindly ask for your help in getting the word out via any means available.

Thank you very much!

Many of those photos are stills from the raw Reuters video feed - which is really heartrending… the guy with fractured legs just laying in the street. Not to mention all the building collapses and people who really just don’t even know where to start.

Seek medical attention? Look for family? Find food?

Yikes.

The ones I found the most gut wrenching was the dead bodies in the back of the pickup truck and the woman still alive but half crushed under the concrete.

(Yeah and for the rest of you who haven’t seen those then that gives you a little bit of a preview of what you have to look forward to if you really want to see them)

For all practical purposes, it looks a lot like someone set off a nuclear bomb!
