Im creating tabs at the top of my new site and these tabs need to show as active when you select the link. Ive tried using $smarty.server.PHP_SELF to check what page is active but unfortunately these links all return index.php because, well they are…
For example the gift certificate page is index.php?dispatch=gift_certificates.add so if youre on the gift certificate tab it returns index.php.
Are these tabs different from the 'Top Menu" tabs? They are already set up to handle this.

Since I am using hooks for everything I just used top.override.tpl and pretty much replaced it. I completely forgot this was built it by default using top_menu.tpl
