Godaddy hacked, another reason not to use shared

See links below. This is after doing research on my clients site being hacked over the weekend. Perhaps this will help them change their minds.

LOL, Godaddy and other buget hosting farms cannot be compared with hosts that offer specialized services. They do not run intrusion detection or hardware firewalls with rules specifically designed for their clients.



I would love every client to lease a managed dedicated system from me however most cannot afford it and VPS systems are usually no better in performance than a shared plan on a non overloaded system and they still need an experienced server tech to secure them…



This post only proves a very important point… You only get what you pay for!

Every client that I have that uses GoDaddy has been hacked in the past month. I would never ever use them.

simple dont use windows hosting… go with linux.

FYI: The vulnerability was old kernel version. Nothing to do with Windows and everything to do with Linux.
