Getting Google Analytics To Work Using 4.1.5

Hi Guys,



I'm really struggling to et Google Analytics to work in version 4.15.

Here's what I've tried so far:


  1. Installed the add-on, added my tracking ID and cleared the cache by going to mysite.com/admin.php?cc .


  2. Created an HTML block and installed the code provided by Google. I tried adding this block to various places, including the default page and homepage. I also cleared the cache each time.



    To confirm if it's working, I refresh the page on Google Analytics and they check to see if the code is detected.





    Can someone please point me in the right place? It shouldn't be this hard!

Turns out the Google Analytics page that shows the code check status is not working properly. It keeps reporting "Status: Tracking Not Installed." I finally went to the analytics home page and can see in fact it was working! Ugh!

there is a file naming error:

rename this file:

/design/themes/basic/templates/addons/google-analytics/hooks/index/scripts.post.tpl

to:

/design/themes/basic/templates/addons/google-analytics/hooks/index/footer.post.tpl



problem solved.
