'From' Email address for Vendor Approval Email

Does anyone know where I can change the ‘from’ email address for the email that goes to Vendor’s when their account is approved? At present, if the name of the vendor is ‘XYZ Company’ then the approval email appears in their inbox as coming FROM ‘XYZ Company’, rather than from the name of my store

What version are you running?

If V4, it's probably a bug. If V2/3 you'll have to look at the controller for the profiles that create the vendor account and what “notification” that it uses. You probably want it to use “company_orders_department”.

On 4.0.3 this is fine. My guess is that you need to use “default_company_orders_department” instead of “company_orders_department” but it's just a guess.

As an aside, if you are running the multi-vendor edition there are plenty of emails that are going from the vendor's email address - there is some rationale in this (e.g. when receiving order notifications, or communication) but I think it's bad practice because depending on their domain settings, the emails will be perceived as spam and end up in the junk folder.

Hit up alt-team. I had him do a modification for me like this. Not sure why this is not standard in cs-cart. I get 40+ emails a day, and all come from “MyDomain.com”. I had him do a custom mod so that it actually shows WHO the emails are from. Its hard to track down anything when they all appear to be from the same person.
