Fresh produce by weight

Product options,

so your base product would be say 100g then next option would be 500g, then 1000g etc and add price modifiers at each option to add the price.

You can also create “global options” and apply to many products at one if all your weights are going to be the same

add the variants per product basis under the product details>options tab

or see here

Focus on your “Unit of Measure”, you need to decide if your base U/M is going to be Grams, or Kilograms. You will then use this predetermined U/M for your product price basis, your product weights basis, your quantity discount basis, etc. For logical reasons, when deciding what U/M you will choose, you will need to choose the “smallest” increment your store will be selling your products in.

Also, in Admin>Settings>General You will need to set the “Weight Symbol” setting to KGs to match your described scenario.

Also, in your scenario, I would highly recommend the following 3rd party addon:

CS-Cart Price Per Unit Addon

You can sell your products in whatever Unit of Measure you choose to do so, by the truckload, bushel basket, Gram, KG, etc, etc., however, if your customers are not clearly aware of how you are pricing/selling your products, then you will have continuous, serious confusion to contend with.
