Fresh install, and now shipping will not work.

I am in the process of moving to HOSTGATOR from GoDaddy.

I installed a fresh copy of 2.1.14 onto HOSTGATOR and set the store up using a temporary domain.

I imported Images, Products, Customers, and Orders with out any issues. I’m ready to rock and roll, but the shipping will not work.

I ended up importing the shipping database information from another working site running 2.1.14. All my settings look correct, and identical except the FRESH COPY will not work.

No matter what I do I still get

“[COLOR=“DarkOrange”]Calculate shipping cost

Sorry, it seems that we have no shipping options available for your location.

Please check your shipping address and contact us if everything is okay. We’ll see what we can do about it.

Any suggestions ?

for the record, Hostgator is 20 times faster than GoDaddy. I am very impressed.

The way you set up shipping changes from older versions. You may want to review…

[url]CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation

Instead of setting up your shipping in…

Settings >> Shipping settings

You would click on the…

Shipping/Taxes >> Shipping methods

…and then have to set up each shipping method.

It actually works great, but where CS did kind of mess up is they should allow you to “duplicate” a shipping method to make it easier to set up multiple shipping options for the same carrier.

With the new version you have to put all the “configuration” information that contacts the carrier (i.e. UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc) for each shipping method (i.e. UPS Ground, UPS Next Day Air, etc).

I’ve done that, and all the needed user names and passwords and set up for realtime rates.

It’s identical to what is currently running on another domain.

Turns out in my company settings my zip-code and state did not match. I had no idea those settings interacted with the shipping method’s… I originality thought it had to do with what showed up on the invoice.

Now I know…
