But the install goes smoothly and you see “The database upgrade is finished successfully!” at the end? If so, probably just need to tweak some files like .htaccess or config.local? Or maybe even clearing the cache.

Hi
No joy, tried all sorts of things and still have the same problems…
done the whole thing over several times and always same outcome…
Only get front page but blank! Admin is not avaiable at all.
I think it is something small, but I can’t find it.

Hi,
How did you setup subdomain?
What did you upload to it, meaning cs-cart was packed with tar or zip? Or you uploaded it file by file?
Are you using shared hosting, what panel ?

It’s an Addon domain, set up by Host (which has been fine until now)
Zip, Shared and CPanel
PM me if you want me to take a look at it.

When you extract tar files become with correct permissions, with zip you must do this manually.
Hi
No the permissions are correct. If I re-install the cart is fine, it is only when I use the 135-205 upgrade that it all fails.
Have installed2.0.6 now and tried to upgrade it and exactly the same.

Hope before you run upgrade script you do install cart without demo stuff ?

Hi
Yeah Correct!
Hi

I still don’t get this:
If I try to go to admin it throws me to an exception page on my original site!
I have got the 2.0.5 installed on an ADDON domain and it works well until you upgrade???
So now you created say
test.domain.com
original site is
domain.com
afer install 2.05 and upgrade script to test.domain.com you get exception page from domain.com?
Why don’t you install 2.05 on local pc
run upgrade script here. Then make sql backup.
Install 2.05 to test.domain.com
and restore backup from local pc?
Hi
Thanks to both of you, Darius and Tooloutfitter!!!
I have had lengthy discussions with my host (who are brilliant) and have decided to upgrade my package with them, so I will start again once this has been done and will post to let you know the out come.
Regards & thanks again
BarryH
Now this is confusing?
I have now got 2.0.6 installed on a completely seperate domain and I am getting exactly the same problem (without the redirect) home page is just blank???
BarryH
Have you verified the permissions on:
config.locol.php
index.php
admin.php
They need to be 644 when you are done.

In some thread someone mentioned that in some server configuration admin.php must be with 666 permissions. Check it.

Hi Darius, I have already done so.
Have tried just about everything, am even making new SQL backup (again) in case it is corrupted.
Keep trying and I will succede (EDIT* succeed, even), EVENTUALLY!
Thanks
Barry
Hi
Definately not an .htaccess or config-local issue.
have done fresh install and copied both, then done upgrade and compared, they both identical!
STUMPED, my host says it is 99.99% a script problem sooooooooooooo, I’m LOST!
