Free shipping for people that live in my town

Hey everyone,

Is there anywhere in the CS Cart admin that I can setup a rule that will check the buyers address, and if it’s the same as mine the shipping is free?

Seriously though, we set up a membership and shipping option with local post codes so it is only available to locals. Down side is that people DO try to get the cheaper/free shipping by entering incorrect post code for them, but you can see this from the address and advise them etc.

haha silly me. I was suppose to say people from within my local town.



How would I go about setting this up?

You need to setup a shipping “location” based upon the Zip Codes within your city

1st you will need to setup a “Location” which you will base upon the various Zip Codes within your town.



Then, you will need to create a Free Shipping Method which will be tied into the Location you previously created. This way your free shipping method will only apply to the customers using one of the zipcodes you have specified within that “Location”.

I’ve managed to create the location with postcodes. I’ve also managed to create the shipping method.



The only thing i’m struggling with is linking the 2 together?

“Unfortunately no shipping options are available for your location.

Please contact us and we will see about delivering to you.”
