Anyone else have problems getting assessed with this fee?
Since the first of the year about 1/2 of my packages are getting this in spite of me not changing anything on my end. NONE of the reasons in the service guide match anything that I’m doing. The local FedEx office doesn’t even know why the packages would require additional handling. I called the 1-800 number and she said they’ve been repackaging my items so they wouldn’t get damaged! I have NO idea why they’d repackage these items other than 1) they want to make more money, so they’ve set a goal to pull X number of packages per day to assess the charge, or 2) there is a new employee in the scanning center that doesn’t have a clue.
