The add-on extends the standard CS-Cart promotions with new conditions and bonuses — the ones you miss when a promotion has to depend on the customer’s order history, stock levels or the delivery city. The add-on’s own items are marked with a “[+]” prefix in the condition and bonus lists, so they are easy to spot.
New in version 1.6.0: the “Free shipping for part of the cart” bonus
The standard “Free shipping” bonus zeroes the shipping cost for the whole order. The new bonus makes shipping free for the selected items only, while the shipping cost is calculated for the rest of the cart. The qualifying items are defined in the bonus itself:
- categories (with subcategories), individual products, a product feature with its variants — a brand, for example;
- “Product price from” — an extra price threshold;
- the shipping methods the bonus applies to. If none is selected, the methods with the “Use for free shipping” option are used; the selected ones are treated as such while the promotion is active.
An item qualifies if it belongs to at least one of the filled lists and its price is not below the threshold. If every item qualifies, shipping is free for the whole order. The bonus works with real-time rates as well: only the paid items go into the request to the carrier.
A typical case: free shipping for the products of one brand. The customer puts that brand’s products and something else into the cart — and pays the shipping for the “something else” only.
What else the add-on does
Cart promotion conditions: delivery city, days before and after the customer’s birthday, the count and the total of the customer’s orders with a chosen status, the quantity of products in the cart, the product stock, the stock by category. Catalog promotion conditions: product stock and stock by category, quantity in stock, product supplier (with the Suppliers add-on).
Bonuses: reward points as a percentage of the order, reward points to another user, a limit on the share of the order paid with points (with the Reward Points add-on), a discount on a supplier’s products, linking an issuer to the order.
Version 1.6.0 also fixes the cart condition “Products in stock qty”, which used to trigger even when the selected product was not in the cart, and adds PHP 8.3 compatibility.
