Our software was built to automate the workflow behind our own online store, so it was “tailored” to fit CS-Cart. After a year of testing and a number of conversations with CS-Cart advocates in different countries, we concluded that our software deserved to be shared with the rest of the world.
We turned the whole thing into a SaaS service and added WordPress support on top — while at the same time, the software can also run independently of the SaaS, in the custom package only.
ecomdir connects to your online store through a simple add-on — currently for CS-Cart and WordPress/WooCommerce — with no complex technical setup. You install it, enter your account details, and the connection is made automatically.
Once connected, you build your warehouse team right inside the platform: you add your packers and office staff, each with their own account and role. From there, ecomdir takes over the workflow.
Automatic, fair distribution
Every new order from your store is assigned automatically to a packer, based on a fair algorithm that balances both the quantity and the value of orders. Work is split evenly, so no packer is left overloaded or idle.
The system can reward performance with monthly percentage-based bonuses, calculated from the subtotals of the orders each packer has processed. You set the rules — ecomdir applies them automatically.
Privacy by design
A packer only sees the information they need to do their job. Customer names, phone numbers, and other sensitive data stay hidden — you, as the administrator, decide exactly what each role can see. Your customers’ data is protected at the role level, not just behind a password.
Importantly, all orders are read directly from your store and shown in the packer’s account. ecomdir does not store this data on its own servers — everything stays with you.
Operational control for the office
Office staff manage the team in real time: they can activate or deactivate packers according to fixed or flexible work schedules. In the case of serious material errors, the office can apply fixed-amount penalties, reassign an order to another packer, or carry out other administrative actions.
Full visibility for the administrator
As the administrator, you see your business performance in real time: how long processing takes for each packer, who processes the fastest, the most, or the highest in value, what commissions are accruing, and what penalties have been applied.
You receive detailed reports — via SMS, email, or directly in the platform — in real time, daily, or monthly, all in a single panel. You get exactly the data you need to make fast, sound scaling decisions.
An interface built for people, not engineers
The packer’s interface is minimalist and was designed together with psychologists, combining the simplicity of social media with the real needs of everyday users — from eyesight limitations to technical comfort. The result: if a packer knows how to use TikTok, processing an order in ecomdir will feel just as easy.
