I guess it may be hard to have a demo because you would have to have a real Ebay account to test, but a video would be nice.
The big thing for me is I have learned when I install a bunch of junk from the forums, including stuff that CS-Cart puts out, it tends to clutter up my installation and cause problems down the road. Again, even with CS there are too many times they start a thread like this, hand out an app, and then they stop replying to it and nothing becomes of it.
As one of the mods stated, you can use a sandbox account. So not sure why they do not just open a demo site, and, in their words, use a sandbox account with it. Pretty simple.

Dear clips,
I think you mean the free add-ons in the Labs thread. Yes, some posts end up being abandoned. You see, all those add-ons were developed by our own architects by their own initiative, in their own spare time. They just don't have enough time or motivation to continue supporting those free add-ons any longer.
This thread is for beta testing of the Ebay Synchronization add-on and its main goal is to get feedback from the users who are going to use it. So we will reply here for sure until the final release.

It's not quite simple.
Besides, the Ebay sandbox used to be down from time to time. And if several users at the same time will be importing their products to our sandbox account, most probably they will get an error from sandbox. And that is not about our add-on, it is about the sandbox.
As I mentioned earlier, it is a beta testing of the add-on. Most probably, we will set a demo of this add-on and maybe a video tutorial but we will do this after the add-on is ready for production usage.
You can read about main workflow of this add-on in the first post. We will add some screenshots there.
So how do we know you will have the “motivation” to complete this? No offense, but you have been talking about Ebay for quite some time. You also have other bugs that have never been fixed. For example I still can NOT import orders in to Quickbooks from version 4.0.2. That was one of the main reasons we started using CS-Cart and the function still does not work. We had to purchase a 3rd party program to be able to do what your program still claims it can do.
So should I decide to test this, does it change any core files? If I uninstall it will it remove it completely and not leave clutter, including in my database?
Is the stock also synchronized with this add-on.
For example when you have 4 shoes total, 4 in your shop and 4 shoes on ebay when you sell 1 shoe on ebay will the webshop have 3 pcs total also. Or still 4?
I'm looking forward to your reply.

There is the synchronization, and it works. The only trick is that the number of products in a store will be updated only after orders import from eBay.

This ebay synchronization is an add-on. The only template that should be changed is design/backend/templates/views/products/manage.tpl
You can find the details here: [url=“CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation”]CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation
Since v4.0.3 no changes in core files will be required to install or uninstall the add-on. So if you will uninstall it all the data/files of the add-on will be removed.
Any idea when some sort of video demonstration will be ready? Thanks

an automatic cron job would be nice for this.
Hi, I installed it successfully on my 4.0.2 installation. Got all eBay codes, and it “sort” of works. I am stuck at the template creation. I go to “Create New eBay template”, and select Australia in “List products in” drop down box. It then brings a message:
“Warning Wait for categories cached. Mean time to 3 minutes”
Even if I wait 10 minutes, I still can not select anthing in “eBay Root category”. I found however that if I exit the page, and try again, I can select a category in “eBay Root category”. So, seems like cs-cart has cached the categories.
BUT, once I select something in “eBay Root category”, it now brings the same Warning messsage, and I can not select the second level category in “eBay Category” selection box. The “eBay category” selection box is disabled. I can again wait for how long, it does not become enabled.
The same trick as last time doesn't work any more. If I close the page, and try again, it still gets stuck at this stage. Seems like cs-cart is not caching the second level “eBay category” list. Or, maybe this just work for the US, but not for Australia?
Another issue, when editing the product, in the ebay section of the “Add On” tab, the “eBay product title” should be limited to 80 characters (for Australia eBay at least). I noticed there is no limit how many characters I can fill in. On eBay the tile gets cut off after 80 characters.
More errors. When trying to exprot product to eBay, get following message:
ErrorAn error occurred during product export.
WarningXML Error Text: “; nested exception is: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The element type “Description” must be terminated by the matching end-tag “”.”.
Not sure I understand the reasoning for options/variants not being supported. eBay UK will pull your listings if you list lots of items that are identical apart from things like colour, size, material etc.
As far as I can see I can create a product with options and variants in exactly the same way on eBay and in CS-Cart but I can't link the two.
until i hear or see something good about this addon I wont be trying.
Guys,
We are testing the newly added features Realtime shippings & Product options.
Next week we will update the add-on and instructions.
Hello!
I am trying to export an product to eBay but there is an error “Your item's location was not filled in…” Where can set the location?
Hello, in version 4.0.3 there are information about? not possible install
So is there an option to list products differently on ebay rather than how it is listed on the site? I sell video games. When someone goes to my site for say Super Mario. They click Nintendo section, then they will fin dthe game, which is listed as Super Mario. When it lists on eBay, will it just be, Super Mario, or is there an option to rename it like “Super Mario for original Nintendo”??
When trying to upload product to ebay UK we get the following error:
Response:
EDIT. I found where the problem lies. For some reason we didn't have specified Company Country in settings.
