I know that a lot of people are switching to 2.x, but unfortunately I have had some custom coding done and I am not prepared for the switch so I am staying with 1.3.5 sp4 for now.

Mainly because of a few custom modifications I use that would cost a few hundred dollars to have redesigned for 2.x.
Hopefully I’ll have the money soon, but as of yet I’m still a few hundred dollars short.

I mainly use 2 custom mods.
The main one is my shipping mod. This mod allows the shipping to be calculated the way I need it. Basically I can choose if a product can be shipped, combined (default), separate, or by truck. Some of my items are big and need to be shipped either separate from other items or by freight truck.
The other mod is my product configurator. While I still don’t have the configurator set up all the way, this mod has made the configurator look and behave much better. Basically it has made a series of steps instead of just on huge page.
I’ve done a couple of other mods, but most of these aren’t a big deal.
The only other thing I’m not sure of is the products tabs mod. Sno was going to do this for 2.x, but then it was dropped. I know that there is a way to make tabs in 2.x, but I’m not sure if there is any way to import my current tabs into the new tabs. Since a lot of my products use the tabs, this is also something important for me to figure out.

Unfortunately, I think this will be a problem for those unable to make the jump to v2. I know that I am focussing my energies on learning the new version and becoming less inclined to spend time on the 1.3.x branch. And I have noticed that forum membership is increasing at a much quicker rate than a few months ago implying an influx of v2 users.
I will certainly try to help out where I can but I think this is the very concern that WebGuy was expressing - the diminution of the previous version.
