I seem to get a hell of a lot of failed login attempts according to my logs. The are registered members they just seem to all take at least two attempts to log in to the site.
I don't use the captcha as that annoys the hell out of me so I would have thought it would be a bit easier. When I test the login it always works fine so I think the is no problem but just wondered what others experiance ?
Do your users login via username or email as username? If you have username maybe some of them forget it and try again and again.

All use email address.
Even I see them, and with username I can clearly say that its a spam but don't know how to avoid it. Don't want to use captcha for the same reason.
Its more than likely customers who change their password or reset it - using the autosaved password without changing it.
