Do I Need My_Changes With A Custom Theme?

Hi there,

I am using the default theme, however, I cloned it and gave it my own name.

Do I still need to use the My_Changes addon or can I make the changes to my theme?

Just a little confused here.

At an upgrade, files that exist in ANY theme that are named the same as in the upgrade distribution will be overwritten.

So you should continue to use my_changes hooks to get as much upgrade independence as possible.
